I currently have a Total of 6 cats 5 are inside. I have 6 litter boxes and I have traded 2 of them for new stainless steel boxes. I really like them. Nothing sticks to the bottom of the pans and I feel that there is no germs in my litter because of my new pans. One of my cats weighs 17 lbs. and the Xtra large is great for him. He has started going in the other boxes and hanging his behind out the door of the box so everything goes on the floor. The new box has a tray inside for him to back up to so it stays in the box, and that's the thing I like best. I plan on getting a couple more as soon as I have the money again.
We have two cats one regular size who will use the box with no problems, it is perfect for him. Our other cat is very large about twice the size as our other cat and it is too small for him. He will go in but cannot turn around so he doesn’t use it. We still have to keep two boxes so this defeats the purpose of having one box. If you have a large cat I do not recommend this box for it.

This larger size was hard to find and perfect for my Maine Coon cats! Their old litter boxes were fairly large but the cats are so tall their "business" would end up over the edge of the box. This one has the extra added height I needed. If I could make one suggestion for improvement, it would be a gasket between the top half and the bottom half or for the top half to wrap over the edge of the bottom half. As it is, the two metal pieces just sit on top of each other (held together by clamps) and precisely aimed urine could leak through these two sides.
We have 2 tall cats and when they relieve themselves it does spray around the seam. So far it hasn't leaked through where it meets together thankfully.
