The materials are good, but the fit is awful. The top and bottom pieces are well constructed but do not mate well. The clips merely hold them against each other. The rubbery gasket materials provided can help deflect, but any liquids that reach the lid are not likely to stay in. The lid needs to have a seam thatis inset in the lower section to create a seal protecting the seams between the two parts.
My cats do love the wide open design. Lots of room for my large boy to turn around.
Well constructed litter box for my 25''inch plus cat. Easy access for him and 2 cats to into to box. Easy clean up. I will recommend a better lid securing attachment and sealing of lid to litter box base. All though lid came with securing screws and rubber seal it is not enough to stop the leakage when cats urinate at rear of the litter box. A lid that can snap over the litter box edges would be more secure and prevent cats urination leakage at those rear points. Material wise a great choice, especially for clean ups1
It's big, easy to clean, and performs as advertised. Only improvement I would make is the seam from the top and bottom pieces leaks urine should a cat pee above it. Would love for an internal hangover on the top piece to block that from happening. Im using electrical tape on both sides to create a closed seam for now.

The large box is made from quality stainless steel. One area for improvement is how the top fastens on top of the pan. It makes it difficult to clean the litter box.
